For 4 tourists and a pilot, this dream turned into a nightmare on Sunday, when a tour helicopter operated by Blue Hawaiian Helicopter made a hard landing at around 3 pm on the island of Kauai at Kalalau Beach on Sunday. 5 passengers were injured according to local news reports.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene to assist tourists and a pilot on the plane.
Officials told a local news channel four people suffered back injuries and the fifth sustained minor injuries. They were taken to Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
Another Blue Hawaiian helicopter transported the pilot and another passenger, both uninjured, to the Lihue Airport.
